How to stop these feelings?

Ok so I love my best friend but I know he doesnt love me back and im really stuck because I hate feeling the way I do about him! I know people say they are in love and they arent really but this os sooo true, I only wish he felt the same. Its like I think about him all the time, when im with him I am thinking about him and when im not with him I think about him even more than I do when im with him! Its crazy and these feelings are driving me insane! Some of my friends have said I should tell him what im feeling but im sick of hearing that! What difference will it make if I tell him when I already know he doesnt love me? Im not gonna risk our friendship over this! I just want these feelings to go away!

yeh that is exactly my point! And I have tried avoiding him and even tried not seeing him but nothing seems to work! Because I either give in and just talk to him or he thinks I hate him when in actual fact its the complete opposite!

I dont believe you can remain friends with someone you have feelings for, because you will find yourself seeing things that aren’t there, taking everyday kind gestures out of context. and romanticizing every little thing.

I know you are afraid to rish a good friendship sometimes youhave to put yourself first. Think about it, wouldnt you feel better if you got your feelings off your chest? It maybe be best if you get if off your chest . If he doesn’t feel the same the distance from each other will be good and help you get over it. And hopefully sometime in the future maybe you guys could be friends again. Trust me staying in this relationship (friend or romantic) is only going to hurt in the end. I fyou dont speak up either way you lose! Hope this helps
