How can I get my dogs to stop pooping in the house when I leave? They both are potty trained and the only time they use the bathroom in the house is when I leve I can be gone for ten minutes and wouldve taken them out before I left and when I get back theres poop everywhere? PLEASE HELP
It could be their way of asking you, "Where the heck have you been to?!"
Do they have seperation anxiety from you? I know they're together when you're gone but they will surely miss the alpha dog. Maybe you can try working on easing them to your absence?
Go out of the house for 3 minutes, walk around the block or whatever, so your dogs can't see you, then come home. Check for poop. Clear? Then work in another couple of extra minutes every day. This will train them to know that it's okay that you're going out without them, because you will always come home to them sooner or later.
Remember to give them treats when you don't find poop. If you do, don't give them any when you get home. They will start to get the idea.
If all else fails, you can train them to go on newspapers or even a litterbox in the house.
What I'm hearing is separation anxiety...for a dog who suffers this, 10 minutes or 4 hours, it makes no difference, they get just anxious.
I agree with magichalo...crating does keep them from going in the house, because it's a natural instince to keep their "nest" clean...ALSO, for an insecure dog, it gives them a secure place to be...a "den" of their own. Once they learn about THEIR crate, you'll find them going there on their own when they feel insecure, or just in need of a nap...a place where they feel safe.
The time will come when you won't even have to close the door...the minute you leave, the dogs will head for their beds...

Crate train your dogs. They will not poop in their crate and it is safer for them when you are away anyway. I wouldn't leave a toddle running around the house loose and your dogs are acting like toddles, so crate them.
is your dog sick, my dog did this when she was sick, take your dog to the vet
Oops I meant toddler, sorry for the mis-spelling
