How to remove an ingrown toenail?

To prevent an ingrown toe nails follow this rule my dad taught me :):

*When you cut them, cut then straight across so they almost look square with they grow out. If you try to round off your toe nails when you cut them it could cause ingrown nails.

To get rid of one follow these:

Use the end part of the nail filer on nail clippers to sort of dig it out Put a band-aid on the under part of your toe starting near the edge where the ingrown part is a wrap it under your toe to keep that part from growing downward anymore. I don’t know if you can understand what I’m saying.

-I saw an episode of Dr. Oz where he showed this, using a giant fake toe which makes it easier to understand. Maybe by chance there will be a youtube video with that part of that episode in it?
