How to make my dog happy.

Wonton is a depressing dog. I adopted her at an animal shelter when she was only 3-months-old and she was fun (although quite wreckless). She is now around 2 and a half years old. Boring and depressed looking all the time. I tried to get her to play with with toys and such but she’s just not interested like my other dogs are. I try taking her in the house so we can spend time together but she’s afraid to be indoor.

So she stays in the garage or out and about in the backyard all day and night.

I feel so bad like I should be doing something to cheer her up.

Any suggestions?

I wish there was a dog park around my area.

Wonton doesn’t like treats and she doesn’t like toys.

But I’m running around with her a whole lot lately it seems to be working.

take your dog 2 petco and buy it some treats and toys and just let it look around and sniff everything. When my grandpa died my dog was depressed and when we took him there or 2 a dog park he loved it

Sorry, but this not sound like a very fun life and I would be depressed also if I was in a garage or in the yard all day. You need to stimulate action, and give the dog a job to do. She can change, Dogs are only as good as their owners make them. dogs do not have the emotional state of mind humans do. She can move on to be a better dog if someone choose to help her.

Answer #4

yea you should take her out in the woods or and open space where she can have some freedom then she might start wanting to play more, shes a working dog, you have to give her something to do, take her for walks and run with her, even try fighting and wrestling with her, dogs love it… . . hope I helped

Answer #5

what kind of dog?

Answer #6

you could try taking her for a walk or for regular walk she’ll probably love getting active, walking around and seeing whats beyond the garage

Answer #7

Take her for walks…dogs “travel” by nature…she’ll start looking so foward to going with you…and those walks are good for you, too. German Shepherds need lots of exercise and mental stimuation, to be mentally and physically healthy…They are so in tune with people, that it almosts a human to go with them for them to have a good time.

Play game with your dog. take him for walks also try to get him indoors by easing him in with treats or something it may take time but it will be worth it in the end.
