How to make friends quickly on my first day at a new school?

Okay, so I am in year 8. In year 7, I went to a all girls Private school, and because of my parents work, I’ve moved from Sydney to Canberra (Australia). Im going to go to an all girls private school just like the one I went last yr, but its a new year and Im scared that I will be the only newbie there, and stuff. Im terrified that Ill make no friends. I had a lot of friends at my school last yr, and to tell you the truth, Im a REALLY out going person :P But I am still scared. I mean, its new to me, this place…

I just dont know what to do!! HELP Me please!

Like jazlove said, just be yourself, since you’re outgoing, just talk with people, start with little things like where they live or how long theyve been going to the school, etc. Eventually you’ll make friends, don’t worry, many people have to switch schools, I’ve been to 3 schools in the last year, and it does suck, but you get over it quickly.

The easiest way to make new friends in a new school is just be yourself and be friendly! A nice warm smile that isn’t forced will work miracles. Just relax yourself after all meeting new people is one of worlds greatest joys! Have confidence, people love that! Being nice to people is the genuine way to getting to know them.

Take deep breathes and just say hello to the first person you meet, whether it be a teacher or a student, whichever comes first. The more people you get along with the easier it will be for you.
