How to lose weight? With effectiveness!?

I have been trying to lose weight for a long time. I am like 30 overweight than the ideal weight for my height. I quit drinking soda, lowered my calorie intake, tried those green tea diet pills, and I exercise (walk like 1-3 hours, not a moping walk I walk fast, and do cardio exercises when I’m done) and I even tried purging a few times. No matter what I can’t lose weight! What am I doing wrong? It’s so frustrating! When I last weighed myself an hour ago it says I lost 5 lbs, but I don’t look or feel different! I need help!
