How to get your hair blonde?

I am trying to dye my hair blonde but hte problem is that my hair is dark brown and every time I try to dye it, it ends up turning orange. And I need to know if I should use highlights or just keep dying it over and over?

The reason your hair pulls orange is becuase your underlying pigment in brown hair is red. The more you strip, the lighter it will get. Orange, then peach, then a blond. I am a professional, as well as impatient lol! I had colored my hair almost black, then decided I wanted it white-blond all over. It took me six months of bleaching every few weeks as well as SERIOUS conditioning, but I made it. then my hair started to break off in clumps at the ends. So from my professional stand-point go to a reputable salon (not the cheap discount salon), ask and pay for a master stylist and have them do it first! The reason is, at the cheap salons those girls are usually just out of school and have no idea what they are doing, you are paying to be a guine pig. as well as some nice salons. you want someone who has been in the business for a while doing this kind of process on your head or else you are going to be an orange-peach fuzz ball and end up cutting your hair and coloring it dark so it doesn’t fall off your head :D lol!! hope this helped!!

loo if you continue to bleach it over and over again your going to damage your hair beyond repear, I speak fro personal experience. I got a really good bleach andit made my hair BLONDE and my hair is almost black, plus I had dyed part of it black, you can get it at sally’s beauty salon you shuld at least wait a week before you bleach it again. it was called radical bleach kit, it has developer and the powdered bleach so you’ll be fine, my hair is to my shoulders and there was only enough to bleach half of it, so you might have to buy more then one depending on how long your hair is, it only costs like nine bucks so thats better then other crap, plus it doesn’t take that long to bleach either. hope I was helpful.
