How to get rid of green high lights?

I put purple high lights in my hair and when I dyed my hair dark brown it turned those purple high lights green. What can I do to get the green high lights out, since my brown hair dye didn’t cover the them?

Answer #1

Dye it again but leave the dye on longer :)

Answer #2

I’m just going to strip it. I have no. I’ve washed my hair so much. And I can’t dye it anymore for about a month. Thanks everyone! :]

Answer #3

you could dye a darker colour over it or shampoo it out shampoo is great at taking colours like those out of your hair really fast so just shampoo it a few times and it should be a lot lighter and less noticable

Answer #4

Doing at home is even worse for your hair though if you are going to strip it.

The only thing I can think of that would cover it up is black. But if you dye your hair black, that it is impossible to get out without stripping it out. Either way, your better off getting a professional to do it. Go to a beauty school, their way cheaper, and still do a great job.

Answer #5

Is there any way I can do that at home? Instead of getting it professionally done?… And I heard its really bad for your hair : /

Answer #6

See a professional. Colors such as green, purple, red and other bright colors are very hard to dye over.

Or you could get your hair stripped of all the color, and restart all over again.

Answer #7

Yeah the whole reason I had to get the purple out of my hair was because the colour was actually running in my hair everytime I took a shower, and it turned my hair black within the 1st shower. About a week later, the running finally stopped. And then Monday, I dyed my hair this brown that said it would get rid of the black so I did that, and I left it in for like an hour, and it actually turned my hair orange, and the green was lime green. The next day was when I dyed it to the other brown, and now, its brown, but its still all green from those high lights. I guess I am going to have to strip it. Thats the only way.

Answer #8

whoo the hell would get purple highlights? haha wow.

Answer #9

If I turn it blonde.. it’ll still be green.

Answer #10

Answer #11
