How to dye your hair light?

If your soft black color is from a box, go to a salon to lighten it. It will end up costing you twice as much in the long run for them to fix your mess.(Im a cosmotoligist) Trust me, color doesnt lighten hair that has been colored. Its complecated, and when people try working with bleach and dont understand toners, they usually end up looking like a calico cat!

If your black hair is natural, and you want to take it to a light brown, it can happen, with hair color, dont use bleach! Hair color isnt going to make you turn orange, if it does, you picked a color that was too light for your hair. you can darken colored hair with color, so if that happens, but a darker brown back in it. But if your having to do that, get a color that washes out with “so many” washes, because it doesnt have the peroxides in it, you only want to be using peroxides when you are lightening the hair, otherwise you end up with a strawpatch.
