How to dye hair with coontails?

I’ve always wanted to dye my hair to have those coontails in it. I know you can do a temp. One with mascara, but I wanted to try one for real. Anyone know how?

And in the picture; its the stripes.

Answer #1

Its hard but just listen to the people who say to put tape in your hair. You can also go onto wikihow.com and search “dye my hair coontails”

Answer #2

You take tape and wrap it around the parts you want to be natural. Then you put your dye over the hair that’s not being covered by the tape and rinse it off and it should come out as a coonstail.

personally I think the pic is rediculous… however that girl is wearing hair extensions, its not her real hair you can get coontail hair extensions in almost every colour ebay also sells them if you want to do it yourself youll need to section off a peice of hair thats all the same length then comb it so its all straight and dye stripes in it to get them staright you can use paper/plastic, ect in between the dye to get the stripes right

Answer #4

you can get any color dye (if you parents let you, I freaken envy you lol) and take a peice of hair (however big you want it) and every like, inch or 2 inches (however far apart you want the tripes) put tape. then dye the peice of hair, then after it’s processed wash it out, take off the tape. and there you go! You can do this on hair extensions for practice if you want.

Answer #5

Id recommend extensions.
