How sonn can I tell we will be exspecting?

I have been a breeder for 5 years. What is the earliest I can tell we will have a litter? Are there home pregnancy tests?

Answer #1

Sweetie if you were a breeder, then you would not be asking this question! You would already know the answer. Take your dog to the vet and have an x-ray or ultrasound done. The vet will be able to tell you how many puppies your female is carrying, if she will be able to whelp (deliver) her puppies on her own or if she will need a C-Section and an approximate due date. She needs to be under a vets care anyway! You should not be breeding your dog, if you don’t know what you are doing. You are putting your dogs life at risk.

Go to AtoZVetSupply.com they may have pregnancy tests. If they’re taken too soon though, it can read a false negative.

Ultra sound is the earliest form of detection…as Utopia said, if you were REALLY a breeder…you’d know that. I know it, and I’m NOT a breeder, but I have made it my business to know a lot about dogs.

I suggest you get on the internet and do some studying…or try picking up a book.

I know 63 days later, my question was how early can you tell? Is there a test to take? A female will get enlarged both nipples as well as belly this will be normal signs as well as many others.I am aware of the norm. What is the earliest I can tell before the normal signs.

Answer #5

You are not a breeder. A breeder would know the answers.
