How should I connect a dvd player to a tv?

I have a av cable consists of red, green and blue cords Which I want to connect to a tv but its not working.

I just use a scart cable…

so you have 1 end of the lead in the back of the dvd and the other end in the telly and its still not working?

hmm if you have a scart lead or s-video try that cus the lead might be damaged… if the scart lead or s-video dont make it work you have a busted dvd player..
