How old do you have to be a babysitter

I had a 14 or a 15 year old babysit my kids. So, I guess around that age.

There is no age. It is the parents decision. If they think you are mature and responsible then they can ask you at ANY age.

I started when I was 11…but that was because I’m responsible & my parents were just down the road in case I needed them to help me out. Otherwise, I would say 14 would be a good age.

well it usually depends on different people some may want a sixteen year old or older others might say its alright for a thirteen or fourteen year old.I think the main thing for them is experience and maturity

I would hire a respectful and responsible 13 year old but I have never tried it

I think you should be around 10… you just have to be responsible Oh! and if you are around 10 barely eleven I suggest you get Red Cross certified because then the parents will really want you. And start out as a mothers helper not a babysitter. If you are around 10 years old and you are not certified by the red cross I am positive parents will say no unless you have known them for years and they really have faith in you. Just be very careful!
