How often should I add baking soda to my water to cure my UTI?

A big home remedy for an UTI (urinary tract infection) is to add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to your water. Do I add baking soda to every cup of water?

You shouldnt use this as an alternative to getting a prescription for antibiotics from your doctor. Things like this can help the symptoms, and help the infection clear up, but if you have an infection the bacteria are pretty firmly established in your urinary tract. If you dont see a doctor and take a course of antibiotics the infection can spread to your kidneys.
