How much in percent should I be paying in dig money?

I just recently got a job and I have to pay my mum dig money but she says she wants half of what I earn and I’m getting paid about £250 per 2 weeks that means I’m giving my mum £125 every fortnight is that fair?

Since I just started I’m getting £350 because I missed the last payday so its getting added next thursday to that means she’s getting £175 is that fair? How much do you/did you pay? How much percent should I be paying?

It depends on what you are paying for, if you are paying for your rent, electric, water, food. Pretty much everything that your mum pays out to help “keep” you then you have got a very good deal on 50%.

Remember your mum has been paying to raise you for a long time. Half of what you earn going to your mum might be a bit much to you but when you live away from home things get a lot more expensive.

I would even say that if you get a pay rise in the future make sure you are honest with mum and make sure you still pay 50%

I used to pay 50% as well when I lived at home, I thought it was a lot but when I sat down and worked out how much everything was I soon realised how great a deal I had.
