How mobile is my mobile

Hi I have an lg ks360 mobile in south africa, going to taiwan next week. I have so much stuff on this phone, can anyone tell me if I’ll be able to use it in taiwan, as a phone/internet/email. If I can’t use those will I be able to use it as a picture viewer/memo/alarm/camera/videocam? Ie, will it tell me “enter sim card” or something and not allow me to like do anything else with it? Thanx

thanks dude, unfortunatley no wifi… vodacom is the sp in SA here. I’ll just take it, try a few local sims/ service providers, and if they dont work I’ll get a cheap phone and keep this as camera/memo/etc.

If it has wifi, yes, you’d be able to use it anywhere…including the internet / email functions.

However, if you want to use it as a phone while you travel, it depends on your service provider (which you didn’t mention) as different companies have different global partners that enable phones to work in other countries.

Sim card would only be necessary if it won’t work as a phone, there…eg, if you can’t use it as a phone, get a new sim & it’ll work…though if you can use it, I’d advise not to as most mobile companies have outrageous rates for international roaming.
