How long to charge tractor battery?
Batteries differ, but generally a quality battery charger has the ability to slow charge the battery and cease charging when the battery is fully charged - rather like your cellphone charger. Tractor batteries are usually 12volt, similar to auto batteries, with between 250 to 500 cold cranking amps. One to Three hours will generally charge it to full. If the tractor is going to set idle for periods of time...placing a trickle charger on the battery will keep it topped off. Trickle chargers put out about 200 to 750 milliamperes, and are used on motorcycles, and power boats to keep the batteries charged.
