id say now… I think you can get 2 types of mice from the pet shop for these snakes…

the big mice and the lil ones which I think are called pinkie… oh and the frozen one but never feed the snake them

Why do you want to feed it live? I would advise you too feed it frozen thawed, if thats what its used to. All my snakes eat frozen thawed. Once you start feeding a snake live its REALLY hard to get it to eat frozen ever again! Feeding live can be dangerous. The rodent being eaten can fight back.. Im involved in animal rescue and saw a python once that had to be put down because the rat it was eating chewed through its spinal cord. And its inhumane. Yes its not natural for them to eat frozen thawed but its also not natural for snakes to be pets. I would stick with froze, live can also make your snake more aggressive in some cases. If you do decide to go live or even frozen for that matter DO NOT FEED THE SNAKE IN ITS TANK.. It will start to think its dinner time when ever you go to the tank and it can turn into an aggression issue. I would take a plastic tote that has a secure lid and poke holes in the top. Only use that for feeding. Good luck
