How long do I have to wait to stretch the hole??

I’ve pierced my bellybutton with a safety pin and been cleaning it with “Ear Care Antiseptic” from claire’s im wondering when is the best time to switch and how to stretch the hole?? THANKKSSS :)

P.S I dont want to hear the bs about me doing it by myself

Just gotta say it, that it was VERY dumb of you to do that. But uhmmm;

Do you still have the pin in it? =
If so then you shoulda tapered it as soon as you pierced it. If you didn’t your just gonna have to wait until it’s healed and can then do it.

Realistically though you should be taking it out cause its f**king dangerous, and should go and get it done professionally once it’s healed.

Thats what you should be doing, because you probably pierced the upper lip of your navel to shallow, and it’ll reject before it can even heal. And believe me you don’t want the scar that comes with rejection. 2 outta 3 of my navel piercings rejected and it’s this like thick blobish looking scar.

Using your ear antiseptic from claires is bad. It’s an EAR antiseptic not a navel one, and their antiseptic isn’t very good to begin with it’s just like hydrogen peroxide. To properly clean a navel piercing you should be doing warm epson salt water soaks for 5-10mins, 2-3 times a day, and using an antimicrobial soap (like satin) 2-3times a day…

Oh AND it’d be cheaper to just take it out and get it done professionally. Because your gonna stretch it, and the amount of money your gonna have to spend on tapers would be more. (Since your at probably 22g with your pin, and a standard navel is 16g.)

I know you probably don’t wanna hear this but you really should not have done it your self. some people have and its been fine. other peoples have rejected. I wouold take it out and go get it done by a professinal.

Answer #3

look take it out and just go buy the piercing needle from hot topic its like 15 bucks and it will save for money in the long run

Answer #4

well, your going to hear the bullsh*t because youve done something stupid and you cant stretch a safety pin hole that and that crap ear stuff barely even works for your ears the only way to strtch the hole is to stab a bigger needle through, which will look disgusting and the navel will bleed because you dont pierce anything that way next time, you shouldn’t be an idiot and pierce anything yourself there are many things that could go wrong like you stabbing it with soemthing as stupid as a safety pin and if you cant be bothered to get a hole in your flesh professionally pierced you shouldn’t be getting one AT ALL a piercing is a wound and there’s a lot more to piercing than just stabbing yourself with a safety pin

Answer #5

A safety pin is too small compared to an actual bar that a professional would’ve put in. That was a stupid thing to do. If you didn’t want to hear the BS then you shouldn’t have posted. And get some cop on too.

Answer #6

omggg you couls get and infection if you dont get it done by a professional and you cant stretch it cause the safety pin is too thin and it will stay that size

Answer #7

That was really not smart…all…suggest is keep clean…and if you see infection..go to a tattoo shop..
