How... Is he still into me?

So my ex and I talk on the phone every couple of days and we are gonna go bowling next weekend. We keep it very civil, you know? Because we both like to talk and love each other’s company. So anyways, I was on the phone with him yesterday, but asked him if I could call him back when I was finished with my homework; he said that was fine, but when I called late that night he had already fallen asleep. So I figured, no biggie, I’ll call him in a couple of days and talk then (mainly because I try not to call too much; that looks bad). Now that we aren’t together I’m generally the one to initiate conversation unless he IMs me or something. However, tonight I looked on my Caller ID and saw that he called me and when I called back to apologize for missing his call, he said he just wanted to call since we didn’t talk last night? Does that fact that he usually never calls, but did because we missed one of our “bed time” conversations mean anything? Or am I reading into it too much like the hopeless romantic that I am?

I think you may be taking it to seriously. Me and my ex are still friends and talk on the phone pretty often. It may be since the break up was so recently that you are still the person he enjoys talking to the most and is the most comfortable with. So don’t sweat it to much just keep it where its at and I bet you guys will end up with a great frendship.
