How do you sell a successful album?

I’ve made a couple different albums. underground style, and rock, and jam band. Reggae/Dub. I haven’t tried putting them out there, but I want to know how to make it successful before I waste my money putting it on Itunes or CD baby.

maybe try to sell them locally. then go from there. but remember most musicians dont make a lot of money from cds. because most people just download.

I really don’t know, but I was on some internet radio station and I got messaged by this guy who said that I should check out his band since he saw that I was interested in the type of music that his band played.
