How do you scream like people in screamo songs?

I love screamo music and would really love to be able to ‘scream’ as done in many different bands… Any tips etc. welcome.

theres dvds you can buy that teaches you how. I love this band called lamb of god and the lady that tought the singer of that band how to scream is on one of these dvds. shes amazing. I dont remember what its called or anything but just look it up on amazon or ebay or something.

First. You gotta have the voice. Second. They got audio devices that can mess around with the treble, bass, voice, etc. Basically, with the right equipment, anyone can do it. The voice is just a bonus, and makes things easier. It also comes in handy to have an actual good voice when you’re on live. =]

you dont hafta have the voice, you have to scream as loud and as hard as you can, and you will start hearing raspyness in your voice, you have to be careful though because some people have permenetly damaged their vocal cords. I think it may have happend to ian makay from minor threat

You need to scream through your nose to stop your vocal chords from being damaged, I know it sounds wierd lol but its true

the person that was talking about the instructional dvd and that chick… the dvd/thing is called “The Zen of Screaming” its really good. the woman worked with many successful bands and helps the most talented out there.
