How do you run chkdsk utility?
How do you run chkdsk utility it says my file is corrupted?It says I need to run this how do you run this?
1)go to “My Computer” 2)RIGHT CLICK on your hard drive disk under HARD DRIVE DISK. should be named “Local Disk (C:)” or some other letter. 3)Go down to properties and click it. 4)Go to TOOLS on the tabs. 5)Under error checking, click “Check Now…” 6)Tick both boxes and hit start. 7)Restart your computer.
*this will take a couple of hours depending on how big your hard drive is. Mine took all night (about 6 hrs) and that still might not fix your hard drive disk. You might just have to go buy a new one.
