How do you push in an earing through your cartilage?

If I do a DIY piercing myself, is it ok to push in an earing through my cartilage? I tried it, it hurt like Sugar Honey Ice Tea. How can I do it with less pain? Or can I penetrate my cartilage with a sewing needle? which way cause less pain? Did you do a DIY piercing yourself? How did it go? please dont call me stupid because I know, but my parents dont let me get it by professional. oh, and what if it doesnt hurt but you just cant push through?

Hey , I advice you to go get it done professionally. Or, if you still get it done yourself, make sure you use lots and lots of antiseptic cause if it gets infected, It’ll hurt even more than Sugar Honey Ice Tea. Haha. But make sure they don’t use a gun to do it. Though I got both my cartilage piercings done with a gun. And the first one got infected. Hope this helped ..

Just get it piereced by someone at a store I have 2 cartilage in 1 ear and it didnt hurt until the gun got stuck in my ear and they had to rip the gun out.

Ok well I pierced my ears myself and I used a sewing needle to put a hole through my ear then I just bit on a rag and popped the earring through it didnt hurt that bad.
