How do you play video games?

I buy one, play it a little bit, and depending on how I like it sometimes I’ll go 10-12+ hours playing it in a day for a few days in a row when I’m not in school. I kinda do it in binges…

That’s just a fact of being young, unfortunately. I had the same problem at your age with my NES, scrimping and saving to buy a game only to have it go stale after two weeks. Once you get out into the world and make some money, it’s much less of an issue. You know all those fanboy wars on the forums screaming about which is better, Xbox or PS3? We 30-somethings look at those arguments and wonder, “They’re both good. Why not buy both?”

I think that’s just the nature of the medium. For many years, I rented games because of this since most games can be beaten over the course of a weekend. These days, I only buy games where I know I’m going to get at least 40 hours of play out of them, either in the main gameplay or through multiplayer. This means I miss out on a lot of games that look fun but short, like the new PoP, but you get more game for the buck.

I play them the same way.
