How do you make a sunburn disappear faster?

I was skiing yesterdayy and kinda forgot to wear sunblock. Whoopsie. Now I am stuck inside with the aloe vera gel and I am in extreme pain. My entire neck is a red color and I am having trouble moving around without wincing. I have to go into public eventually so I was wondering if any of you people have any recomendations on easing my pain??? Please and thank you!

The good news is that if you act fast, you can minimize the sun’s damage to your skin, not to mention the lobster-like redness: http://beauty.ivillage.com/slideshow/beauty_style/caring_for_sunburns/how_to_soothe_your_sun_woes/

Take care !!

Answer #8

Cool compresses and keep up with the aloe vera.

You’ve damaged the skin - it’s going to take time to heal.

Answer #9

Ha, redneck! I didn’t mean to laugh at your pain, that’s just kind of ironic.

You’ve really damaged your skin & it’s going to take a long time to heal. Here’s a few tips I saw on wiki: –Wear loose fitted clothing so you don’t irritate the skin more. –Use an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen to take the pain out of the burn and help with skin inflammation. –Use a cool, damp cloth and rest it on the spots where you are burned; it will help keep you cool and reduce the burning feeling. –Bathe with cool water and avoid beaded soap on the affected area, which can cause irritation.

Answer #10

Drink lots of water and I’ve tried pouring two cups of vinegear into a bath and soaking a while. It took out some of the redness.
