How do you like my poem?

okay, I need to know: good poem, or bad? Yes, it’s sad. I wrote it for my grandpa, who passed away recently. Aww, crap I’m crying. sry. really. okay. here goes:

I remember these nights as if they were the present. My tears fill my eyes, darkly. I miss the way you used to put me on your shoulders and tell me how lucky you were to have someone. someone like me in your life. But death took your hand and took you up the stairway to heaven. How I know it was heaven? I just know grandpa. I just know. Rest in peace, Grandpa.

I know it didn’t rhyme. I wasnt aiming for rhymes, but nostalgia. All crytisism is appreciated. thank you.

that was really lovely. grandpas are so special. mine has always made me feel like I was the most special person in the world, no one has ever been as proud of me as he has, and I’ve always been proud to be his granddaughter, and I think you captured that. I’m sorry.
