How do you know what hair color suits you?

I’m thinking of changing my hair color. It has always been really black which is my natural hair color because I’m asian. I just want a change but I dunno what color will fit me. For those who usually change hair colors, how do you figure out which fits you?

Well I don’t know if I’m classified to answer this (haven’t dyed my hair another color, but I spray painted it purple once). Something that gives out the tone of your skin in a positive way, your natural hair color does that very well. I guess one thing to keep in mind when dying your hair another color would be how much it stands out and if it stands out the way you like it. I think something you could try would be purple highlights (lol you can tell I have a thing for the color purple). What you can do is, cut a bit of your hair or get someone else’s and dye that strand of hair and hold it against your own to see how the color suits you =)

well honestly you dont know. I was born with brown hair and have dyed it red, blonde, black and gotten colors in it and they all suited me fine. I thought alotta things wouldnt suit me but after it wasnt that bad. I always thot I would look weird blonde but to this day my friends still bug me to go back. you never really know but either way I find hair color can be any color and still look good if you do it right. try like, going on photoshop or something and editing your hair to see.

thanks you all :-) my skin is not light/pale. Its sort of um, light brown (there are some photos of me in my profile, im not sure what you call my skin tone). I recently got tanned because I went swimming and it was danggg hot LOL im scared to try and experiment on hair colors because it might damage my hair if I do it a lot. And well, its kind of expensive too haha

Black is my color ! :D But it depends if your light skin or dark .
