developing personality is different than developing a relationship. im assuming you mean relationship since you are talking about your mother.
I would find out what your mom likes to do and invite her to do something with you.if she appears to have no taste, just ask her to do something that you like with her. mothers are generally going to be happy doing anything with their kids, so just talking with her could help.
My mother and I didn't either. You just have to get into a habit of talking to her about your life and going to her for advice. And you do chores without her having to ask you. And then whenever you get into a fight or she gets mad at you you just need to back down.
I know very well the importance of the personality development, and always i try to improve this. some times your personality give the strength to your relationship with others. if you want to understand this in detail visit: http://funadvice.com/r/15n7v3g4de9
