how do I tell my mom iam with a guy 11 years older then me?

I’ve been secrectly dating this guy for about a year but he is 11 years older then me, but I want to tell my mom.but I scared of the reaction iam going to get.

iam 18. I know that is a huge age gap but I really want to be with him and I don’t want to lie to my mom anymore its killing me

I agree 100% with the above answer but one additional thing dont let anyone change your mind. not with using a guilt trip, yelling ect. if you guys are really in love hold on to him cause your one lucky girl real love is sometimes very hard to find!

Since your 18, it’s 100% legal. You are both adults now and are able to make your own choices. I’m sure your mom will be able to handle it and accept it. You should have just been honest with her from the start, things would have been better and less awkward then. But it’s too late for that now. Just tell her about it. Let her meet him and see that she has nothing to worry about. As long as the 2 of you are truly happy together and really love eachother, it’s perfectly fine. At your ages it’s legal and there’s nothing wrong with it at all.
