How do I stop my hair from going totally flat?

I have short hair I’m a guy and I’ve really had enough of my hair going so flat all the time. What happens is I have my shower and then put my hat on and my hair looks wicked. 10 minutes later it goes all flat and I hate it I constantly go and rinse my fringe and sides and back with water, the back of my hair is the worst as it curls under towards my neck and I hate that to. So what should I do, I used to put heaps of wax in it but that doesnt work, I dont know about gel if that would be any better, I tried to straighten it once but I always burn my ear so im not doing that, what I want from my hair is to put my hat on and have the hair thats not covered by the hat to be sticking out a bit instead of being so flat and lame.

well put your hair in a pony tail on top of your head TIGHTLY it will make it waavy and wherever your part is do the oppisite so it gets a lil bounce and mouse is good to help

Get some wicked hair spray dude and then put loads of gel over the hair spray

Get some good hairspray and maybe get a larger hat which doesn’t flatten your hair.
