How do I stop loving someone?

For the past year I’ve been in love with my best friend. We’ve been out before and I’ve known him my whole life. I haven’t told anyone how I feel. He hangs around with this girl and she is my friend too. She really likes him and he really likes her and now they’re going out. It broke my heart and I couldn’t stop crying. I want to be able to look at them and be around them without wanting to cry. Help?

truth? you cant stop loving someone really, when you have your heart set on it. but if it is hurting you to much maybe you need to distance yourself for a little while and focus on some other important things. hang out with other friends and get your mind off him. or if you wanna go after him send little hints. for example my boyfriend like the pens hockey team so I would maybe buy him a cheap shirt and say it just made me think of you. of the true way to a mans heart FOOD. bake cookies and bring them to him say you were making some for some other guy (jealous:D) and you made to many and you thought he would like some. or when you hang out plan something super fun. like the cookie thing bake some together and when de corating start a little food fight. go to a local sport event and really get involved ask a lot of questions about the sport and let him teach you something guys like that and maybe buy him an extra hotdog lol
