I want to say this line “She could feel its life, its warm fur, its quick heart beating against her,“ is a good use of effective imagery but I don't know why? I just think it is because I find it easy to imagine. Any ideas? Thanks. x
I said; “She could feel its life, its warm fur, its quick heart beating against her,“
The phrase reflects another good use of effective imagery however it reflects a warm feeling instead of cold by using ‘touch‘ and ‘sight’ senses. I think the words used are powerful and creative and although it’s only 2 lines, there’s a great deal of information there and it creates a sensual picture easily.

I think what you explained is okay. I mean the phrase does effectively create a picture.
