How do I record a demo CD ?

So as it’s 2010 its time for a fresh start, so I want to get somewhere with my life starting now. Ok .. I live in a veryy small city and I want to record a demo CD with my friend to send off, but we’re new to all of this so we dont really know how to do it. we dont have a band and we cant play any instruments, though im learning guitar and piano. so the question is, how do we record a CD without a band ? thanks for any help :)

get some sort of software like acoustica mixcraft, they have already sampled music that you can string together with very little skill required. the only problem with this is that your “demo” will consist of presampled beats, and wont really be your work. and youll need something of your own, perhaps singing or something. but this should get you by in your current situation.
