How do I make my girl hair appear to be a boy's?

I’m in a play, & I’m a girl, but my role is male. Therefore, I need to appear male. My hair is at arm-pit-length, and is straight, and thick, but very manageable. Wearing a hat is an option, but I was hoping for some tips on how to make my hair appear like a guy’s without cutting it. Any ideas?

Answer #1

You can slick it back and place the remaining length in a very low ponytail, this works better if you wear a shirt with a higher collar to tuck the hair into the back of the shirt.

Answer #2

A wig would be the easiest option, But there are other options too. It depends what era the play if from, lots of men had long hair in ponytails in some eras so that could work. Or a tight bun to pull it all back would be good too.

Answer #3

Slick it back real tight into a low ponytail. Lots of men have long hair. I see many girls in plays do that, whether it is moose or extreme hair gel. not a high pony, I can picture it, hard to explain

Answer #4

wear a knit hat. itll keep hair on top better than a cap

Answer #5

My best guess would be a cap or a wig.
