honey, I'm trying to do the same thing. just eat no more then 1000 calories a day, and exercise a lot! when you feel hungry, just eat veggies or pickles (most pickles are under 30 calories, some are 0 caloreis) and drink tons of water. chewing gum will make you more hungry, so don't do that. I wouldn't set a goal that isn't reasonable. Once you have one that is reasonable, eat a lot of healthy foods and exercise regularly. If you search the food guide on the internet you can find out the proper amounts of servings you should be having to stay healthy.
