How do I know what I am acting out on?

I am a 15 year old girl, and I can’t say that I have been threw a lot, but my moods are changing like crazy, I’ll be happy one min. and than sad the next and within a couple of mins. ill be back to being happy. I am starting to have really bad spazzing moments. I have started about thinking to skip school with people that I hang out with, I’ve lowered my standerds in everything, my friends are mad because I barely want to hang out anymore, I just want to sit in my room and I stare into space, the spot on my wall with nothing and I just sit there. Everything in my head feels like its in a big scramble, I cant stay focused into anything, and there is so much more and its getting bad faster and faster and I cant talk to no one, my emotions take over and I burst out crying , I even feel like doing it in the middle of class… I know this may not help , but if anyone knows how to help can you please tell me something !! thank you

It is really hard to tell from the few symptoms you’ve listed what is going on. It could be hormonal teen mood stuff. It could be major depression, I mean you almost meet criteria as far as the symptoms you’ve listed

(1) depressed mood most of the day, nearly every day, as indicated by either subjective report (e.g., feels sad or empty) or observation made by others (e.g., appears tearful). Note: In children and adolescents, can be irritable mood.

(2) markedly diminished interest or pleasure in all, or almost all, activities most of the day, nearly every day (as indicated by either subjective account or observation made by others)

(6) fatigue or loss of energy nearly every day

(8) diminished ability to think or concentrate, or indecisiveness, nearly every day (either by subjective account or as observed by others)

but you really should consider talking to your doctor and/or school counselor. sometimes these symptoms can be caused by something else. either way, if it is distressing or it affects your life, you should get checked out.

You could be bipolar or just experiencing being a teen.
