How do I get this guy to like me?

Last year I moved to a new school and there was this guy who as soon as I saw him, I like looved him! He wasnt in my class so we didnt ever talk. And im like superr shy, so I ws scared to approach him. This year, we are in the same class and we are really good friends. I think he knows I like him, but im not sure. I really want to go out with him, but I dont know how to get him to like me. Im thinking about writing him a note, but I dont know? I havent written him a note before because I know that I will feel embarrassed after he knows how I feel. I need help, like soon!!

Omg , I have like the exact same problem ! What I did was ask my friends to spread the rumor that I like him and then act like he doesnt exist but smile at him sometimes. After this the boy sooo totally noticed me and is gonna ask me out real soon! You can try this too because it usually works.
