How do I get the backlight on my iPod Nano to work?
The backlight on my ipod nano wont work. Itz the ipod nano thats can video. Anyone know how I can fix it? I have to put the ipod under a light to see what im doing. It just wont light up.
I have the same iPod so this one was easy to answer :) Do the following steps:
- When you turn on your iPod go to the very first menu by clicking the menu button until it won’t go any further. The menu should read “music videos photos podcasts radio video camera extras settings and shuffle songs” go to the setting menu.
- Go down to “General”
- Go to “Backlight”
- I’m assuming yours is turned off, so simply select one of the times to leave the backlight on before it turns back off. I have mine at 10 seconds to save energy, but you can put it on whatever time you want, even on always on.

I think that’s a normal factory setting - check your settings and if everything seems normal, you may have a defective iPod.
