How do I get rid of gingivitus?

How do I get rid of gingivitus? My gums are swollen. I know I ‘m suppose to brush my teeth everyday, but thats not working. how do I get rid of it in a week?

Answer #1

I was told I had the beginnings of gingivitis. My gingivi (gum) numbers were in the 3 and 4 ranges. So I was told to FLOSS everyday at least once that it could be reversed, by my next visit in 6 months my numbers had improved and my gums were tighter to my teeth. Now they are in normal range. So FLOSS at least once a day!

I only use mouth wash sparingly as it drys the mouth leading to bad breath.

Like one of the advisers said, see your dentist. He’ll recomend something for the Gingivitis. Otherwise, you just need to brush and floss everyday and buy some mouth wash. I’d recomend Listerine which has tarter protection and prevents Gingivitis Good luck and I hope you see your dentist or do what I suggested and another person also suggested..

Answer #3

brush and floss. :) you see brushing only gets some of the germs that are on the out side of the teeth, so you should also floss to get inbetween your teeth as well. Also look for toothpaste that will help figt against gingivitus, and use mouth wash as well :)

Answer #4

Gingivitis is a gum disease. You should see your dentist about it soon. And it’ll probably not go away in a week.

Answer #5

thank you all! My gums are already clearing.
