How do I ask out a guy I barely know?

I really like him and I dn’t know if he likes me. We talked online once. I tried 2 give him a hint that I like him by writing him a song that took me a couple months. He still doesn’t know that song was for him and said “it’s good. if your gonna give it to someone work on it” I wrote it for him. Anyways my friends are trying 2 get us in the same place same time alone. My friend tried I missed lunch since my crush never came my friend never mentioned my name he just said someone wants 2 talk 2 you in the library. I’m gonna get the courage 2 ask him out 2morrow and I barely know him all I know his name and hes single. He;s never had a girlfriend and he makes straight As. How should I ask him out any advice

just keep talking to him dont give up but i wouldnt ask him out if you barely know him get to know him and become friends then take things to the next level
