How do I ask my mom if I can have a boyfriend?

Its nice that you want to keep your mom aware about whats going on with you. Most teens will simply just go off and have the relationship without telling their parents about it.

You need to have a relaxed conversation with your mom. She stills sees you as her little girl and this whole dating business might shock her a bit. Its best to listen to what she has to say and even more importantly ask her about her past experiences with guys and what advice she can give you on guys. This can be a nice healthy conversation between the two of you. Remember, if anything goes wrong you can always go to your mom and tell her what happened and she can always tell you what she thinks and try to cheer you up.

if she does say no then she thinks your not ready yet. Thats alright, you still have a lot to learn about guys anyway. Most of them are hormone driven kids anyway. There not exactly capable of sustaining a relationship for very long. I would give it time, you don’t know what the intentions are behind the guy you like so just wait and if you get to know him better and still feel like you wanna go out. You can always present him to your mom and ask her what she thinks.
