Hi everyone,
My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 6 years, for the last year we have been talking about getting married. He wants to keep the actual proposal to himself, and thats fine, I think it should be a suprise,but we have talked about everything else.
The thing is, he doesnt know how to pull this off without me putting two and two together and knowing its about to happen.
We live together, and see each other everyday obviously, so he is thinking that if he came home out of the blue and said "honey we are going to such a place" that I would know straight away that he is about to propose.
To the men who have proposed, how did you keep it a secret until you actually asked? How did you pull it off?
Well I actually proposed twice. I first proposed whenever we bought her engagement ring in the store and secondly when I gave her a wedding ring on the beach. So of course she didn't know she was actually get a second ring and didn't expect a big proposal with people around.
It is more up to the guy though. If he's bright he'll figure something out. It is too easy to set up a woman to make her think that it is the time and then it just turns out to be a date.
I've always thought it would be sweet to: as she's sleeping put the ring on her finger so when she wakes up she has it on her finger and make her like breakfast in bed.
my man proposed to me in my back yard..and it was crazy because I didnt expect it since I always see him around my house and stuff..I don't know..it was crazy..lol
He should take you out to eat a few times before he does it to propose. That way you dont know about it. :]
