How can you tell if a lad really loves you?

I need to know how can you tell if a lad really likes you and how do you know if hes just messing and if hes only using you for the sake of it. like theres this lad and he tells me he loves me, he wants to stay with me forever and he will always love me but for some reason hes not texting me today? like I no hes in his grannys and theres no reciption there and he prob cant txt back! I send him one msg and it delivered but he never texted back do you think im onli over reacting? if not what msg could I send him to find out if hes ok?

first your over reacting. second how fast did he tell you he loved you. that says a lot about him. dont over text him or call him.for if you dont you will look very clingy which is a total turn off to most guys. let him call you or txt you. if you have more info that you can give me then I can tell you if he is trying to play you or not .
