I have 2 cats 1 is 18 weeks old and the other is 20. The youngest one always pees on furniture. Especially beds. How can I stop it?
is it a male or female. Males will pea everywhere to mark there teritory. I had a male cat one time that peed on the rugs and the bed and pillows. I moved him from a house with two women(me and my mom) in with me and my botfrind. Come to find out he was peeing out of spite cause he would only do it on his pillows, his rugs and his clothes. Crazy cat was jelous. I know have a male wjo used to pee every where for teritorial reasons and after we got him spayed he quit. one time he was peeing in really wierd areas like in his food bowl, and wierd places like that. I noticed he was straining and only a little bit of pee at a time would come out with a tinge of blood. this was due to a urinary tract infections. cats will pee in wierd spots to let you know something is wrong with them. some will do it out of spite or jelousy some are just bad and teritorial. you will have to narrow it down from here. hope this helps
She may have an infection, you should get her checked out, someone I know had this problem with her cat, she took him to the vet, and they didnt do anything. She tried another vet, one dose of antibiotics and the behavior stopped...
Otherwise... If litter boxes are in the same place, the cat might not be comfortable going... so try a new location Get a third litter box (I assume you have two already, one for each cat) Keep one litter box uncovered, my cat would pee all over the place because her box was covered Try a new box with new litter If none of that works, try the vet...
we have cats, and we went through the same problems your having, we scratched our cats feet in its litter box, then went it peed on any thing,(not often after scratching its feet in its litter box.) we covered the area in lavender oil.
did you scratch it's paws around the litterbox???
