How can I survive gym til school ends?

I suck at every sport and I am outcast for lots of reason including me sucking at every sport. Next semester I will have gym and everytime I have gym, I get panic attacks and get very nervous that I start shaking, breathe weird and my heart beats too fast. This teacher won’t take any excuses how so ever and I am terrible at sports and gym that I am panicking. SO how can I survive gym without embarrassement, mean people laughing at me, getting bad grades and not look like a complete loser? Please help me!

Have you tried practicing these sports? I mean , if you try hard instead of going down on yourself, you could do way better. It’s all about having a positive attitude.

However, since most people find that difficult, you next approach would be to avoid getting involved in the game (such as catching, throwing, kicking ,etc.) but still pretend you’re into the game, like running towards something, but never actually getting to it. That way, you only have to worry, when you HAVE to take place in a game like quad ball, or pitching, and throwing.

Embrace it!

I developed a fear of heights when I was around 16 years old (I’m 45 now). So now, whenever I get a chance to go on a tall structure, I go close to the edges, just so it will help me get over the fear.

Same with gym. Try to build some enthusiasm about it when you go to each one. Lets face it, you’re not gonna get out of the class.

Whats the alternative? Panicking each week? Or really trying to get even fairly average at one of the sports?

Answer #3

just find the the things positive in it :) like the fact you’re not alone.
