"How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?"
One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.
But it's not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.
"What should a minimum calorie intake be?"
As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.

Well a healthy way to do it is join weight watchers. Weight watchers gives you a great guide line for food intake and exercise. Also try a body cleanse. Try a cleanse with no Caffeine, Alcohol, Sugar and totally vegan for 3 weeks. Its hard at first but it is really awesome. There is a book by Kelly Preston called Quantam Wellness I think. Oprah just finished it. Im doing it right now and its really great. Losing weight safely and slowly(2-3 lbs. a week) will keep you healthy and it will keep off you too. Good Luck!!
Well a healthy non pill way is to walk, do a lot of walking , as in at least 2 miles a day, and drink 2 bottles of water while walking, it helps boost your metabolism, also eating a grapefruit every morning for 12 days can help you loose up to 15 pounds, the acids help eat body fat, Also a thing I've learned to do is drink a full glass of water before supper, that way you dont eat as much because you will already feel full, hope I helped
