How can I get my (dyed) black hair back to platinum blonde?

So, I naturally have dark blonde hair, which I bleached bright white-blonde for about a year myself at home using schwarzkopf 00A and then toning out the yellow…This worked out fine, but then I got bored of blonde and decided to go darker…so I did it at home again, dying it red, then a dark brown. the dark brown is pretty close to black, about a shade off but now I want to go back to platinum. Im pretty tempted to just wack another pack of bleach on it at home but I keep reading horror stories of orange hair and hair falling out etc. I can’t really afford to go to a salon (poor student) and my hairs pretty short already so I don’t really want to damage it so much I have to cut a load off. so does anyone have any tips/advice?

okay you dont have to bleach it!!! you really dont. I took cosmetology and bleaching it will cause damage to most hair types especially short and thin hair. there is a kit at walmart its about ten dollars and it strips all the dye out of your hair. make sure you dont have to go anywhere the next day because your not going to want to be exposed to much sun. this will take most of it out but it will leave your hair all different shades of lighter colors anywhere from blonde to light brown. after washing your hair out you need to condition it very well. then the next day or two you can dye it whatever color you’d like but I recommend dying it twice to ensure its the color you want. try dying it in the morning the first time and the second time in the evening, for the next week or so after alternate washing your hair. wash every other day and condition everyday. use a little bit more conditioner than normal. goooddd luck!!1

trust me, I’ve dyed my hair from brown, to black, to blonde, to pink, to black, to blonde, to blue..etc. I’ve done it all. I have really short hair and even thought both my parents are hairdressers I did everything at home. my hair never fell out and it never went orange. you just need to but some strong bleach on the black and CHECK it. some people dont check. just because the roots are white doesnt mean the rest is.. check it all. I have short hair to, so it should take to long or have to much affect. if it does get some reconcruter on it. I use TIGI bedhead bub blonde reconstructore.

ahh im in same situation as you are… yeah your ginna have to either leave it andlet it grow out. or you could strip your hair and dye it like dark brown. you can’t go right to blonde again, u’ll havw to keep dyeing it lighter and lighter. whihc will really demage your hair I do not recommd. ask your hairdresser or a salon and do it at a salon but by urself. good luck! :)
