How can I find the law for this?

Eh, I don’t know how to word this. I am 16, going to be 17 in three months. I want to be in a relationship with someone 25 years of age. I live in West Virginia. The law for sexual consent is 16. Uhm…jeez. I don’t even know what I’m asking..I’m not really sure who has custody of me.. I stay half of the time with my mom and half of the time with my dad. My mom HATES this guy, my dad loves him. My mom won’t let me see him, tried to get him fired, and griped him out at his work. When I stay with my dad, I can see him. But not when I stay at my mom’s. I love my mom so much, and I don’t want to hurt her. Can she do anything legally if I see him when I’m at my dad’s, even though she doesn’t give me permission? Can she get him in trouble, legally, if we were in a relationship? Like I said, the consent age is 16…but what if the parent doesn’t approve? If you can think of anything else I need to know besides the questions I’ve tried to ask…please let me know.

If you are of legal consent age then there is nothing she can do legally. However she can take away phone privilages, ground you, etc. Maybe ask your dad if he can help you figure out a way to convince your mom.
