How can I dress emo without my parents getting all pissy?

I want to dress emo but cant do it witout being grounded for the rest of my life!

Answer #1

katgores - They’re called a poser because they’re asking how to dress to fit a certain style. Usually - that equals MAJOR poser. A non-poser wouldn’t care - they’d be their true self no matter what,

Answer #2

first of all your probably s poser because you wouldnt care about getting grounded and if you really where emo you wouldhave started dressing like you where a long time ago

Answer #3

Sorry, but this kind of makes you sound like a poser. You probably don’t know the first thing about “emo”. It’s a music type and also a style, but you come off as a poser. Just wear whatever you want to. I’m sure your parents will adjust to it.

Answer #4

if yu really wanna,

either bring all yur goth stuff in a bag and change when yu get to school or sumthing..

or wear all black and a brightly colored jacket over

Answer #5

Labels are for soup cans. Stop trying to be so different. No matter what you do, you’re like someone else. So it’s not worth it. Try to be yourself and not follow some dumba** label.

**It’s better to have a story behind your name than a simple word.

Answer #6

Well you can always dress kinda emo but add a little bit of girly to it. Besides if that’s the style you want to wear that doesn’t make you a poser like what these people say. A real poser is someone who dresses or wears their hair in a way that they don’t really like and just do it for other people. If you like the style how the heck does that make you a poser? Never got that. But yeah just talk to your parents about it and try to add a little bit of girlyness to your emo style and see what works.
